Growth of terrorist activities in Norway

Norway has been a supporter of international terrorist organisations in the Middle East, Asia and Africa for decades. Norway has become a safe haven for terrorists and murderers  that are "refuges" from international law. Norwegian liberal emigration policies and the collapse of the justice system have also contributed to the growth of terror cells in Norway. Norway has become a melting pot for all the big terrorist groups. In Norway they can work  nearly free for interference from authorities. The newspaper Dagbladet (19 April 2004) estimates that more than 40 Norwegian terrorist are fighting the American forces in Iraq. One Norwegian belonging to the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MKO) has been arrested by the American Forces in Iraq.

The Muslim community in Norway is rapidly increasing. Terror experts believe that terrorist might be hiding in these communities.

Illegal immigration

There are tens of thousands of illegal immigrants in Norway. Many of these are from Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Chechnya  and other regions with known terrorist activities. In 2002 more than 6000 immigrants, awaiting asylum, disappeared from the Norwegian refugees camps. The police and other authorities have limited knowledge of the illegal immigrants. In addition to the illegal immigrants we have "refugees", with no papers or passports, that claim that they are refugees. Several international terror experts believe that there are several terrorist and terrorist groups active among the illegal immigrants and "refugees".

War Criminals

Several international war criminals has  obtained asylum in Norway. In November 2003 Croatian seeks extradition of a Serbian war criminal that legally has obtained asylum in Norway. The war criminal was honest and informed about his 20 years sentence for War crimes. The Norwegian authorities awarded him both residence and work permission.

The crime wave:

There has been a dramatic increase in crimes committed in Norway. The police have lost control and criminal groups and crime syndicates can work freely. A total of 426 053 Crimes reported in 2001, where off 18500 was drug related crimes. The drug trade is one of the main financing sources for terrorist organisation.

Terror groups active in Norway

Ansar Al Islam.

Ansar Al Islam is one of the Islamic terrorists organisations that are active in Norway. The leader Mullah Krekar has allegedly had close contact with both Saddam Hussein regime and Al Qaida. In his book (released 22 April 2004) he admit to a meeting with Bin Laden and asking for financial assistance to Ansar al-Islam. He is also accused of genocide of his own people, The Kurds in Turkey, Iran and Iraq.

Ansar al-Islam recruits suicide warriors for missions in Lebanon, Chechnya Afghanistan and Iraq. They are also accused for organising miscellaneous terrorist activities in Europe.

The Ansar Al Islam leader Mullah Krekar lives in Norway and organise his troops in the middle east. Mullah Krekar has become an icon and a hero among parts of the rapidly increasing Muslim community in Norway. His organisation, Ansar Al Islam, kills coalition forces in Iraq.

Norway is currently providing a safe heaven for Krekar and members of his organisation. Lately the Norwegian Police has dropped the terrorism charges against him. The 2nd January Mullah Krekar was arrested again in January 2004 for organising several terrorist acts in Iraq. However it is likely that the terrorist friendly Norwegians will release him, or allow him to continue his work from the Norwegian Prisons.

During the court hearings in Oslo the 3rd January 2004, it was obvious that the Norwegian authorities have had knowledge about planning and organising of several suicide missions organised by Mr. Krekar and his organisation. The Norwegian police had also presented to the court transcripts from Islamic bulletin boards, e-mails and voice recordings proving their knowledge about Mullah Krekar terrorist activism.

Tamil tigers

The Tamil tigers (LTTE) are responsible for terrorist activities in Sri Lanka and India. This organisation has made 168 suicide attacks in the period 1978-2000.

This organisation is working actively in Norway. Among their activities are political work with the peace process and fundraising in the increasing Tamil community in Norway.

In Sri Lanka Buddhist monks have been demonstrating peacefully outside the Norwegian embassy and demanding that Norway stop the support to Tamil terrorists.

AL-AQSA

Members of Al-Aqsa and the Islamic League in Norway have been collecting funds for Al-Aqsa and Hamas terror organisation for several years.

At the Islamic League of Norway's annual conference held on May 18 and 19, 2002, the General Secretary of the Islamic League in Sweden urged all Muslims to provide support and to participate in continuing the suicide operations against Israel.  He called for further financial support from all conference participants to the AL-AQSA FOUNDATION in Sweden, noting that this financial support could contribute to the destruction of Israel.

ETA / Al-Qaida / Ansar al-Islam

The Norwegian connection to the Spanish Al-Qaida cells is Khalid Faraj Ahmad. According to the Spanish police Barakat Yarkas, a.k.a codename Abu Dahdah, arrested in Spain and charged for organizing an al-Qaida-cell with 35 members in Spain. Khalid Faraj Ahmad was contacted by Barakat Yarkas and asked do arrange Visas for Al-Qaida members. Mullah Krekar have also have had several contacts with Abdulla Kattan who have been a part of the Spanish Al-Qaida network.

Coincidently Khalid Faraj Ahmad is the brother of the Ansal al-Islam leader Mullah Krekar!

Jamal Zougam, one of the arrested after the Madrid terror attack, belong to the same terrorist group as Barakat Yarakas. During the investigation of the Al-Qaida cell in 2001 the Spanish police found videotapes made by Mullah Krekar, Bin Laden and information about bank account belonging to Khalid Faraj Ahmad in the Norwegian savingsbank "Nor".

Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) did know in 2003 about a terror attack against Spain prior to the Spanish election. This information allegedly comes from a document in Arabic picked up through Internet. The FFI says that they did not know the importance of the document before the  11 March 2004 tragedy.

Mullah Krekar have had contacts with the Norwegian Security Police (PST). It is not unlikely Mullah Krekar has provided PST with information of some value for PST, but of no value for Krekar Ansar al-Islam organisation. In exchange Mullah Krekar could have received favours from the PST. This is purely speculations, but should be investigated. PST have also been aware of Mullah Krekar contacts with Jamal Zougam.  According to the newspaper VG (22nd May 2003) the CIA was very disappointed with the work of the PST, CIA and other intelligence agencies have had to start their own terror link investigation in Norway. It is a tragedy that the PST is regarded as the clowns in the terrorist "circus" in Norway and PST negligence and incompetence might have caused terror tragedies.

We have to await the Spanish authorities investigation of the 11 March 2004 tragedy in Madrid to see how involved the Norwegian "connection" to the terror acts. However all the facts will not be known until The Norwegian PST knowledge "database" is investigated. The Norwegian government and the PST might destruct evidence or downplay the importance in order to avoid liability lawsuits from the victims of the 11 September and the 11 March tragedy.

Aftenposten, a  major Norwegian newspaper, revealed in an article in 2001 that Norwegian authorities have been allowing transfer of funds to the ETA and other terrorist organisations.

Al-Qaida

According to several terror experts it is likely that this terror group has active or sleeping terror cells in Norway.

Several transactions though the Hawala money transfer has been described as money laundering and suspicious transfers to Al-Qaida cells. The financial crime police "Økokrim" has made several arrest of Somalia nationals  living in Norway.

Chechen terrorist

Several Chechen terrorist is living in Norway. One of the terrorist currently seeking refugee status in Norway was a lifeguard for Arbi Barajev and his terrorist group that has committed 170 murders, kidnappings and terror acts. The latest Chechen terrorist seeking refugee status is on the FSB wanted terrorist list, however Norway gives the Chechen terrorist and their families money and housing.

In Norway the Chechen terrorist can plan and finance more terrorist acts against our good Russian neighbours. Several Norwegians openly supported the Chechen terrorist murders of Russian schoolchildren in September 2004.

One of the supporters of the Chechen terrorist actions is the Norwegian parliamentarian Ingvald Godal. Mr. Godal alleges the FSB is behind the terrorist attacks. We think it is very sad that Norwegian politicians accepts that small children are legitimate targets for the Chechen terrorist. No doubt there has been human rights violations against the Chechens from the Russians, but revenging this by use of terror is not acceptable.

PKK Kurdish terrorist organisation

PKK-Kurdish terrorist organisation has been allowed to broadcast radio from the Kvitsøy Broadcasting station in Norway. The organisation is listed on the US-terrorist organisation list. According to the Norwegian police there are twenty key persons in the PKK terrorist network living in Norway. They are involved in miscellaneous criminal activities and money laundering.
